Youth participants will explore scientific ideas in fun, social, and active ways of learning.  And for those who love science, the course takes you to the next step-- merging big ideas with design, engineering, and business. 

Purpose

 

Experience science through experiments, improv, visual arts, games, music, and other active simulations.

 

Fun and inspiring lessons about water and balance, energy and power, and life in molecular science. Explore design concepts applied in science, like "structure equals function" and "small is big".

 

Apply scientific knowledge in imaginative ways and create products that promote the power of scientific discovery, creative engineering, and science for a better world.

 

Design and build a product, be part of a business team, and make money!

At Young Outliers, It’s like the real world in the classroom. You make friends as you learn, design, build, and start your businesses.

 

Our workshops are designed to elevate strengths and awaken passions. We connect academics with design entrepreneurship. 

 

Young Outliers courses are hands-on, in-depth, and multidisciplinary. No worksheets. No lectures.

 

Through fun and socially interactive simulations in the form of games, improv, the arts, projects, experiments, building, and designing for business and social challenges, our participants learn to connect academics to the real-world from the perspective of design entrepreneurs.
